In its 13th year, Cleveland Clinic’s Annual Nursing Research Conference: Transforming Practice Through Research & Dissemination is being held May 3-4, 2017, in Independence, Ohio.

Sponsored by the Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence, this one-of-a-kind event is designed for nursing researchers, clinical nurses, nurse managers, nurse administrators, advanced practice nurses, nursing students, educators, clinicians and other healthcare professionals. In a compelling forum that touts the latest in nursing research and best practices, conference attendees have the unique opportunity to learn how research and dissemination can improve and transform nursing practice.

Widely recognized keynote speakers

Keynote speakers of the 2017 conference, include Joyce J. Fitzpatrick, PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN and Renee Manworren, PhD, RN-BC, APRN, PCNS-BC, AP-PMN, FAAN.

Dr. Fitzpatrick is the Elizabeth Brooks Ford Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She has more than 300 publications, with her primary research focus on dimensions of meaningfulness in life. In 2016, Dr. Fitzpatrick was honored as one of the American Academy of Nursing’s Living Legends.

Dr. Manworren is the Director of Nursing Research & Professional Practice at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Manworren is one of only five pediatric representatives in the National Institute of Health’s 90-member Federal Pain Research Strategy work group. Through her research, she seeks to culturally transform sensitivity to children’s pain to better prevent, assess, treat and understand pain in children.

The 13th Annual Nursing Research Conference begins promptly at 8 a.m. EST and concludes at 4 p.m. EST on both Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4. Complimentary continental breakfast and lunch will be provided (breakfast begins at 7 a.m.).

Attendees can choose to attend one or both conference days. Early bird registration is available online through March 17, with all registrations due by April 19. Registration will not be available at the conference.
