Watch live webcasts, procedural videos and more on Consult QD Live
It’s been one year since Cleveland Clinic’s Consult QD Live went online. The video and webcast repository — a brainchild of Conor Delaney, MD, PhD, Chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute — is the newest element in Cleveland Clinic’s mission to educate medical professionals.

“Consult QD Live is a complement to our webinars and other online educational offerings,” says Dr. Delaney. “It allows us to regularly engage healthcare providers all over the world and discuss the latest advances and insights in real time.”
The Digestive Disease & Surgery channel was first to appear on Consult QD Live, along with the Heart Vascular & Thoracic channel. Originally a collection of procedural videos recorded by Cleveland Clinic gastroenterologists and surgeons, the channel now broadcasts live events and invites viewer participation.
For example, medical professionals can join in live Q&A sessions with physician panelists discussing various gastrointestinal and surgical topics. Participants submit questions online before and during the event.

The Digestive Disease & Surgery channel is blazing a trail for other Cleveland Clinic specialties. Two more channels were added recently to Consult QD Live: Urology & Nephrology, and Functional Medicine. More channels are in development.
“Consult QD Live and the Digestive Disease & Surgery channel are still evolving,” says Dr. Delaney. “Next year at this time, they may look completely different. We post fresh content almost every week and are constantly developing innovative, interactive educational programs. In addition, I am really excited about our new series, ‘MD Insights,’ in which we will be doing brief video interviews with some of our faculty and sharing the incredible things they are working on.”
