COVID-19 derailed last year’s Clinical Nursing Research Conference, but learning and research never stop. Cleveland Clinic’s 16th annual conference, canceled last year because of the pandemic, will be up and running online for 2021. A rich lineup of keynotes, panel discussions and research reporting will highlight work done by nursing professionals across the country.
The event, which draws hundreds, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 26 and 27.

Variety is a hallmark of the annual conference, says the event chair, Sandra L Siedlecki, PhD, RN, APRN-CNS, FAAN. “Everybody’s talking about their research — all different types of nursing research. The topics, populations and designs are all different, the samples are different, but it’s all about disseminating evidence.”
Siedlecki says the event is for those involved in all aspects of nursing, including clinicians, educators and administrators. “Anyone who is a Magnet® or an ANCC Pathway to Excellence® program coordinator will want to be there,” she says.
The goal is for clinicians to make the most of shared findings and evidence-based information so they can replicate studies and improve patient experience, processes, safety and other outcomes.
Twenty-one presentations and more than 40 poster presentations, as well as live question-and-answer sessions, will be part of the programming. Networking opportunities will be available as well.
