Here are five ways the healthcare industry can cultivate “GQ:”

  1. Teach clinicians to be team players. Collaboration is key to success.
  2. Invest in IT. It’s the only way to handle healthcare’s data explosion.
  3. Make population health management a strategic priority for patients and staff. This helps mitigate costs in a value-based care environment.
  4. Deliver care in the most cost-effective settings. Overbedding is on the rise.
  5. Do not underestimate the devastation of the opioid epidemic. Last year drug overdoses caused 53,000 deaths.
